Our Customers' Ear, Simon, who became a Nintendo fan with his first 16-bit console in the '90s, was especially excited to talk about the game:

Q: With Asterix & Obelix - Slap Them All! obviously being based on the famous French comic series, what can you tell us about the feel of the game? 

Simon: It's a classic Asterix & Obelix: fun, full of slaps, and perfect for co-op play, just like in the SNES days. The game captures the SNES vibe with hand-drawn levels and characters that feel true to the original comics. It's quite different from the previous XXL games included in this collection, which took a different approach. This new adventure fits perfectly into the series and brings a fresh yet nostalgic experience.

Q: You mentioned the three Asterix & Obelix XXL games having a different style. Are they still sort of comparable or linked to Slap Them All?

Simon: They aren't really connected, but were published by the same French studio Microids. The XXL games offer a different take on the series, and having them included adds a lot of value. It’s interesting to see how the series has evolved over time, and each game brings something unique to the table.

Q: How did you find the Adventure Mode?

Simon: Adventure Mode is fantastic. It offers hours of gameplay where you can beat up hordes of Romans and explore the world. The developers did a great job incorporating elements from the original Asterix & Obelix albums, and the bonus chapter exclusive to the game is a real treat.

Q: Any final thoughts on why fans should pick up Asterix & Obelix - Slap Them All!?

Simon: If you’re a fan of Asterix & Obelix or Beat ‘Em Up games in general, this is a must-play. It’s fun, nostalgic, and packed with content.
